MARC JACOBS: "YES TO PLUS SIZES"

Alarm bells were going off in every fashion house in Paris and Milan last week. Yes, couture knickers were in a major twist upon hearing the label Marc Jacobs, is set to cater for plus-size women.

This will change the future of designer fashion and if Marc Jacobs leads, other designers will follow in suit.

Bravo to Robert Duffy, the CEO of Marc Jacobs for the idea. Here is his tweet...

If it all starts here, in 10 years time, 'real' women might be ruling the runway. Let's hope so. There is no room in my heart or this world for anorexic models. Queue, this pearl of wisdom from Naomi Woolf:

" We as women are trained to see ourselves as cheap imitations of fashion photographs, rather than seeing fashion photographs as cheap imitations as women."

Not anymore... there is change in the air and it has already started.
