PENTHOUSE LUXURY

Five weeks ago, my husband and I moved from a large family home in Wellington, to a small inner city apartment in Auckland city. How are we coping? Quite well really. We've compensated by totally upping the cosiness factor and by looking on the bright side.

Apartment living suits us to a tee. The former grassy backyard has been replaced with Borders and late night magazine reading. Plus, my husband with my two cousins in tow, are able to stroll a few blocks away to their new late-night (dare I say, gorgeously nerdy) hobby! It's a win-win situation for everyone.

Back to apartment living... Last year, I experienced some pretty bad apartment drool after watching Miss Pettrigrew Lives For a Day. Here are some movie stills:

Lobby entrance.
Non-stop coveting the gorgeous wallpaper and mirrors.
Prettiest bathroom ever.
Picture perfect living.
Happy ending? You got it.

Ok, so our inner city apartment might be small, but we have a pretty view of the city from the 13th floor, roof to ceiling windows, brand new appliances, a car park, fairy lights, candles and flowers. All we know is that we're so fortunate and blessed to have such a lovely place.

Next stop: Villa Fever. My sister in-law, her hubby and their pretty daughter are moving into a beautiful villa in Ponsonby this month. Super dreamy. xx
