I deemed fashion to be an
unworthy blog topic after the big Christchurch earthquake. I am totally not kidding you when I say I haven't purchased a single item of clothing since Feb 22 this year. Is it normal to feel guilty about thinking of splashing out on clothing when I know others are going without and suffering in our country? I mean, I have life and medical insurance to pay now - should I really be spending my money on clothing when I have plenty already? Surely there are more important things to consider with all the catastrophic world events taking place. Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, tornados, mudslides, flooding... it goes on and on.
Man, this is tough... I can only hold out on shopping for so long and after seeing these outfits on Runway Daily today, I now have major fashion FOMO. Perhaps I can dust off the sewing machine and whip something up instead? We're still in a recession aren't we?
