THE HONEYMOON FILES: VENICE

My husband and I went to Europe for our honeymoon in April. We went to dreamy places like Paris, Nice, Venice, Amalfi Coast, Rome, Santorini and Athens. We have some awesome memories, some which I'll share with you over the next few weeks.

Here are some shots from a city we both have a soft spot for: Venice.

Bird feeding at St Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco). I suffer from ornithophobia. Major bird anxiety!

Venice is a beautiful place with really friendly people. It's very touristy though and every corner looks the same, but it was stunning in its own right and incredibly romantic - seriously, people were playing violins and trying to sell us roses every night while we were trying to eat dinner. It's how they make a living! There are good opportunities for night walks though, and we found it to be a very safe city to travel around. Highlight: the gelato was the best ever, with hundreds of different flavours to choose from. My travel rating: 8/10
